It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Jane Feliciane Isaac of Paix Bouche. She died at age 73 on October 14, 2023. She was born on June 09, 1950; the eldest of two surviving siblings, Christaline Thomas in New York and Lucianna Doriel Isaac in Guadeloupe.
She gave life and nurtured six children: Gertrude Royer, Gabriel Edmund Sylvester and Thomas Isaac in Guadeloupe; Philson Benjamin in St Kitts, Kelvin Benjamin and Elie Joseph in Dominica.
She loved her daughters-in-law: Nazzline Benjamin in Dominica and Marie Lourdi Mai in Guadeloupe.
She was also blessed with 18 grandchildren including:
Troy Joseph, Amado and Kelyann Benjamin in Dominica; Stacy, Isaac, Joulourdia, Guihame, Esther and Angel Sylvester; Steven Royer, Lorgan, Madisson and Remi Isaac all in Guadeloupe, Edson Sylvester and Luidgi Royer in France
She embraced her 4 great grandchildren: Noelia Laurac and Genessy Royer in France and Levin Royer and Nailha in Guadeloupe
She was adored by her nieces: Kathleen Buchholz, Tamica Thomas and Thalia Pettiford in the U.S. and Keira Isaac in France
And revered by her nephews: Adrian Thomas in Dominica, Elvis Isaac and Michael Bonine in Guadeloupe
She was well regarded by her nephews-in law: Roger Buchholz and Marcus Pettiford in the U.S and her
Nieces in Law: Adel Francis-Thomas in Dominica and Carine Bonine in Guadeloupe
She was also aunty Toe to her great grandnieces: Ajna Thomas and Akiera Toussaint in Dominica, Aalyanne Thomas in the U.S, Kristie and Shayna Constantin and Anaelle Isaac in Guadeloupe, and Naily Geran in France and her great grandnephews: Ayden Thomas in Dominica, Seth and Caleb Thomas in the U.S and Jordan Bonine in Guadeloupe
Jane aka Wendy will be missed and remembered by her many other relatives, close friends and caretakers including: Francillia Mado Isaac, Peter Isaac and the Isaac families in Delices, Roseau and St Joseph, Martina Jederon and family, The Celestine and Diggs Family in Anse-sol-dat, The Thomas family in Bellemaniere, The Paul family in Dos d’ane, Valda Matthew, Jonas and Grace Laville, Patrick Ferrol, Isarine Bannis, Glorine Bannis and Family, Meredith Celestine, Caesarina Paul and family, Anthony Joseph, Roselyn Paul, Hermina John, Elderlyn Peters, Persha Bonnie, Caudilia Francois, Patrick Royer, Dr. Geoffrey Lafond, Dr. St. Luce, Staff of the Healing Hands Nursing Home, Lennox Joseph, Fantica Fefee, The Corner Shop crew, the Paix-Bouche, Dos d’ane, Thibaud communities and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The ceremony to commemorate the life of our beloved will begin at 2pm, with an hour viewing from 1pm at the Paix Bouche Catholic Church on November 18th, 2023, followed by interment at the Paix Bouche public cemetery.
