It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Marcella Blaize-Johnson, affectionately known as Marso or Doodoo of Grand Fond. She died on October 7, 2021, at the age of 70.
She is survived by five children: Nadia Charles-Joseph, Danny Blaize & Joey Johnson in Antigua, Donette Blaize-Lawrence and Val Johnson in Dominica.
She will also be remembered by:
One adopted daughter, Vera Robinson and adopted son Ednis Prince.
Six grandchildren: Nadic Pollock, Dalirah Jno Baptiste, Kaydee Pascal, Richard Newton, Cangely Blaize and Avanie Johnson.
Brothers: Dr John Toussaint, Julius Cuffy, Reginald Morgan, Cusmus Morgan, Victor, Vaughn, Vanderpool, Pat and Linton Blaize.
Sisters: Bebiana and Christine Morgan, Jacqueline Morgan-Jno Hope, Gertrude Morgan-Pascal, Petrolina Morgan-Andrew, Isabella Morgan-Cuffy, Masline, Ann and Mary Blaize
One uncle: Hermit “Cruso” Robinson in Bagatelle
Numerous Nieces and Nephews including; Nicole, Kezrah, Euville, Gillian, Nickez, Candia, Nita, Pinisha, Anique, Danique, Tyra, Adina, Alira, Annia, Delra, and Nathalie, Nayaka, Addy, Shan, Tyron, Kardia, Kean, Josiah, Jared, Mc Kinney, Jess, Dwayne, Nash, Wendel, Darwin, Markey, Lester, Nigel, Versean, Dania, Shayla, Trevon, Nataia, Ariel, Amese and Ramese, Scottie and Raiyi, the others too numerous to mention.
Countless cousins including; Magdelene, Heather, Derick Rah Peters, Hazel, Merle, Kertney Cuffy, Vernanda, Lionel, Marvella, Vanje, Lucilla, Gifford, Vilyn Abraham, the Cuffy, Abraham and the Blaize family in Laplaine and Grand Bay.
Two daughters-in-law: Renata Johnson and Catherine Blaize.
Two sons-in-law: Vernon Joseph and Kervin Lawrence.
Three sisters-in-law: Joyce, Austina and Jenita Blaize.
Four brothers-in-law: Steven Andrew, Paul Jno Hope, Pinard Pascal & Beran Cuffy
Care givers: Miss Patricia Prince and Mrs.Tina Prince.
She will be sadly missed by her many close friends here and abroad: Miss Gweneth Anslem, Henry Polydore, Edith Prince, Johnathan, Melanie Pascal, Ma Lucin, Irvin George, Augustus Lewis, Alicious Prince, Nathalie Prince & family, Dorothy Prince & Family, Mr Jules Pascal & Family from Grand Fond, Junie Alexis and Faustin from Portsmouth, Quise and Lucia, Bolan from Riviere Cyrique, and Dalith Charles. The funeral service of the late Marcella Johnson will take place on Monday 18th October, 2021 at the Grand Fond Catholic Church at 3pm, followed by interment at the Rosalie Catholic Cemetery. May her memory live on!
