DDA launches Public Awareness Campaign in Fight against COVID-19

Discover Dominica Authority, through the Dominica Festivals Committee, joins the fight against COVID-19 in the Nature Island.  With the report of increased number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 on island, the Dominica Festivals Committee activated its Corporate Social Responsibility plan and reached out to popular musicians and entertainers to further educate and inform the general public on measures to take to protect oneself from contracting the virus.

Nearly 15 musicians and entertainers have been engaged thus far inclusive of Miss Dominica 2020, Savahnn James, 2020 Calypso King Jaydee, Goodwill Ambassador Asa Bantan, King Dice, Carlyn XP, Tasha P, Reo, Nano, Jamal Burnette (Jingle Jam), Marie Pascale Affana, ColtonT and DJs such as Major Mystic, DJ Flip Tha Boss, DJ Sleem and DJ Snow. These popular personalities and others will provide useful information on the virus as well as tips to protect oneself.

The video clips will be released via our Facebook page commencing March 27, 2020.

 

The Dominica Festivals Committee urges all Dominicans to practice social distancing and stay safe as we ride out this COVID-19 storm and most importantly pay attention to official advice from the Ministry of Health and other government officials.
