Married and engaged couples gathered at the beautiful La Salette Roman Catholic Church on Sunday to celebrate World Marriage Day under the theme ‘Love One Another’.

Bishop of Roseau, His Lordship Gabriel Malzaire said that just as Jesus lived up to the titles given to Him, so to must individuals within the family live up to titles and do so truthfully. The titles of Husband, Father, Wife and Mother must not be taken lightly. He also mentioned the great responsibility that parents have to be a witness to their children.

World Marriage Day was initiated by an American organization Worldwide Marriage Encounter in collaboration with the Catholic Marriage Encounter Movement and is observed on the second Sunday in February.
