The Alternative People Party(APP), the new political party in Dominica, officially launched its website on Monday 11.While persons speculated about all who were involved, the website listed four women as the interim managing board with Tahira Blanchard as president, Kendra Stephen in charge of Finances and Secretariat, Sharon Vidal responsible for Women and Youth and Sherlyn Sabaroche as the administrative assistant.
According to president Blanchard, APP is focused on women and youth.
The party’s color is peach which symbolizes longevity. It also represents femininity, tenderness, love, and the continuous process of renewal. APP aims to effectively serve and represent the people in and out of the Parliament of Dominica, and to create and maintain a healthy balance of Democracy in the governing authority of the state. The party’s motto is people Together- working for One Another.
