The Portsmouth Community Watch Foundation expresses its solemn condolences to the family and relatives of Julien Lauprêtre and also to the broader Secours Populaire français fraternity.

We are deeply saddened on the death of President Julien Lauprêtre.  Julien Lauprêtre’s creation has touched many residents of our town.  Hurricane Maria dealt a severe blow to the survivability of our town, and Secours Populaire français came to our rescue on several fronts: assisting distressed families, children, and schools; heartfelt solidarity across our community.

Julien Lauprêtre, the father of solidarity, will be sorely missed. His vision and his cause will live on in our hearts and works.  In the spirit of Julien Lauprêtre, we will work tirelessly to consolidate and expand solidarity in our region.
