Nurses who are passionate about mental health and looking to advance their careers now have the opportunity of a lifetime as a renowned staffing service in the United Kingdom is looking to hire qualified healthcare professionals.
NHS Professionals (NHSP) is the UK’s largest provider of flexible workforce solutions to the National Health Service (NHS), the country’s official healthcare service. It has partnered with Caribbean Employment Services Inc., a market-leading digital talent acquisition service based in Barbados and operational throughout the Caribbean, to launch an international recruitment drive for skilled nurses who may be willing to lend their expertise abroad.
On July 10, 11, and 12 this year, NHS Professionals International will touch down in Trinidad & Tobago on behalf of four different NHS Trusts to recruit international nurses. But the offer is also open to any qualified nurse in the Caribbean or, indeed, around the world. The recruitment drive comes as the NHS, affectionately considered a “national treasure” in the UK and a golden standard in universal healthcare, prepares to mark its 75th anniversary this year.
Anthony Catlow, International Regional Director, NHSP International, said: “It’s a really exciting time to be joining the NHS. The UK is very, very progressive with mental health nursing and the way we look after our patients who have mental health conditions. We absolutely want international nurses to come to the UK and share the experience that they have.”
Joseph Boll, Caribbean Employment Services Inc. CEO, said: “It’s truly an honour for us to work with such an esteemed organization as NHS Professionals International. They have an incredibly high standard for international recruitment, and are committed to ethical recruitment. Employers will provide relocation assistance, including reimbursement of visa costs, contribution towards airfare, transportation from the airport, three months of accommodations, and more. Further, successful candidates will be eligible for promotions, career progression and development, as well as UK accreditation that could boost their employability around the world. In addition to flexible shift work, international nurses can expect average salaries that range from around £23,000 to £29,000 annually (around USD$29,000 to USD$36,000).
The location and time of the in-person interviews is TBA at a later date, but nurses throughout the Caribbean and abroad are encouraged to apply online as interviews can be held digitally.
