Teachers Day 2020 Will Be Celebrated Under The Theme “TEACHERS: LEADING IN CRISIS, REIMAGINING THE FUTURE”

The Dominica Association of Teachers will celebrate World Teachers’ Day 2020, on Friday 2nd October, 2020 at the St Alphonsus Parish Hall under the theme, “TEACHERS: LEADING IN CRISIS, REIMAGINING THE FUTURE”.

 

The days activities will commence with registration from 8:30 a.m. and will include:

1. Recognition of over 20 educators who have dedicated many years of service to education in Dominica;

2. Presentation of certificates to teachers who participated in and completed the virtual IT for Dominica programme;

3. A panel discussion based on the theme’ and

4. The business segment to include the secretariat and financial reports and election of officers.

The election which was constituted to be held in April earlier this year at our Biennial Convention was postponed due to Covid 19.

Addresses will come from Hon. Octavia Alfred, Minister for Education, Human Resource Planning, Vocational Training and National Excellence and also Mr Mervin Alexander, President of D.A.T.

All teachers, especially members of D.A.T. are asked to be present and on time.

Protocols established by the Ministry of Health will be in effect
