Motorists on island will now enjoy gas prices as low as $7.38 per gallon.
Gasoline will be reduced from $9.79 a gallon to $7.38, diesel will be reduced from $9.21 to $6.44, while kerosene will be reduced from $7.92 to $4.99.
Twenty pound Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder used in many homes will be reduced to $24.43 in Roseau and environs and no more than $26.43 across the island.
This is according to Director of Trade, Matthan Walter. He said the significant decrease in the price of petroleum products is a result of over saturation on the market brought about by the lack of movement of cruise ships and other transportation; a direct result of the Coronavirus.
These changes will be in effect Monday 18, May 2020.
