2014 OECS Reading Champion, Louise Aarons, has been accepted to Oxford University

Louise Aarons the daughter of Yvette Jean-Pierre and the late David Aarons has always been a gifted and humble child at a very young age. Attending the Pioneer Preparatory School at the age of four years old , she would bring her books from home to read to her peers. 

She then went on to win the 2014 OECS reading competition, capturing a scholarship in the grade 6 assessments. She also read the news at DBS on a Saturday for a few months until the summer of 2015.  After moving to the convent high school she won twice in a row the Spanish spelling bee competition and always maintained an average of 96% plus at convent before moving to London after Hurricane Maria .

Louise continues to shine in the U.K. and went on to receive 9 A*s and a distinction in English in her GCSE at the Ark Academy.

Attending one of the most prestigious sixth forms in London, Harris Westminster, Louise has went on to become a senator and house captain of her school. She has received 4 A*s in her A-Level and will be attending the University of Oxford where she will be studying Biomedical Science. Hoping one day to become a scientist.
