Young Dominican Producer’s  Collab with US Artist Reaches over 1 Million Views

Josh Joseph also known as MarsGawd from the town of Portsmouth has caught the attention of a US based artist. The artist known as Rod Wave, sought out Joseph after hearing one of his beats.

Joseph’s beat was used in the song “Forever Set In Stone” which was released on May 31st, 2021.Joseph says, “He found my beat off of my YouTube channel where I post some of my beats and from there he personally contacted me on Instagram about the song he recorded and we moved from there to begin dropping the song”.

According to Joseph, “The music video accumulated 1 million views in only 19 hours and is currently at 2 million views as I’m typing this. The video was shot in the US Virgin Islands and the song can be found on all streaming platforms”

.Joseph said that he knew about the artist before and is a fan of his music.

According to him, he has always been involved in music having grown up in a musical family and been heavily involved in the musical aspect of church.

“So from a young age, I had a strong interest in the arrangements and composition of songs. Even from a young age I took interest in genres such as Jazz, R&B, Gospel, Reggae, basically every genre which is where my “sound” originated from when it comes to my beats. I’ve been producing for about 9 years”, Joseph says.

He continues,  “I do see a future in this. My love for making music has even grown stronger from when I had just started which at the time was just a hobby for me”.
