Personal Data Collection – The Fisheries Division recently introduced a platform where fishers can record their fishing activities virtually. The opportunity to capture data will give a more precise representation of fishing activities in Dominica and also assist fisheries in proper record keeping of their business.

Fish Identification – This session will provide fishers and data collectors with a refresher session in fish identification and naming. This is essential in record keeping of fish landings.

Printed paraphernalia-150 hats will be printed and distributed within the various zones. There are five (5) zones therefore, the larger zones will be allocated more hats as compared to the smaller ones. The hats are specifically designed for fishers use at sea.

Social Media Campaign- A collage of fishing activities will be compiled and shared on the Ministry’s social media pages. Fisheries Staff will also share the message on their pages.
