Antoine, along with his team, officially welcomed the WINAIR delegation and distinguished guests. The event celebrated the strengthened ties between the islands and the positive impact this new route will have on the region’s tourism industry.
Chairman Thaddeus M. Antoine said, “We are excited to welcome WINAIR’s new service to Saint Lucia. This new route highlights our commitment to improving connectivity across the Caribbean, creating more opportunities for both visitors and local businesses. It also offers a fantastic chance for Saint Lucians to travel to St. Maarten for business, vacations and shopping, as well as for our diaspora to return home. We look forward to strengthening this partnership and further establishing Saint Lucia as a top travel destination in the region.”
Among the notable attendees at the ceremony were Hans Van de Velde, CEO of WINAIR, Naomie Mazzola, WINAIR’s Social Media Manager, and Roberto Gibbs, the airline’s CFO, all of whom were recognized for their efforts in bringing this important new service to fruition.

We are confident this new route will be a success, and we look forward to welcoming more passengers aboard in the coming weeks.”
The new service will operate twice weekly, with direct flights from St. Maarten every Tuesday, arriving in Saint Lucia at 2:35 pm, and on Saturdays via St. Vincent, arriving at 12:40 pm.
