We announce the death of Andrew Matthew better known as Cuthbert/Colbere of Bense, who resided in Thibaud. He died on February 12th 2024 at his residence. He was 67 years old.
He was the husband of Karen Matthew
The father of Alisha Matthew-Marcellin and Abishai Matthew
Foster dad of Frederick Palie in the U.S.,
Step-father of Tessa Hyacinth and Reena Honore.
Godfather to Noah Palie
Grandchildren: Abigail, Jhade, Kairo and Caeden
He left to mourn:
Brothers: Rennicks, Addison, Jefferson and Joel Matthew.
Sisters: Theresa Paul and Andrea Bougouneau.
Son-in-law: Jerry Marcellin
Daughter-in-law: Danica Matthew
Nieces: Yhara, Emma, Nanda, Addina, Lucilla, Lyndonna, Sharon, Sheryl, Denise, Vanessa, Barbra-Ann and Merle
Nephews: Jedd, Addison, Lester, Lennon, Kes, Kent, Patrice, Jhavid, Jervon, Earl
His memory will be cherished by numerous relatives and friends, including his brothers and sisters-in-law, the Wallace Family of Grange, the Joseph family in Bense, Bernadine Toussaint and family, Paul Francois and Family, Martin and Family, Felix and Christian in Guadeloupe, The Faith Harvest Tabernacle Family, Friends and family in the communities of Thibaud, Vieille Case, Penville, Bense, and Paix Bouche, as well as friends in Guadeloupe, the Honourable Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit and other names too numerous to mention.
The late Andrew Matthew better known as Cuthbert will be laid to rest in Portsmouth at the First Olivett Baptist Church on 9th March 2024 at 1:00 pm. Interment at Chance Public Cemetery.
