Updated Death Announcement of 71 year old Sylvestine Giselle Michineau

We are saddened to announce the  passing of Sylvestine Giselle Michineau, age 71, who departed this life on November 11, 2024.

Sylvestine is survived by her two daughters, Eldica Sabrina Carbon and Joan Jacqueline Joseph Moses.

Son-in-law: Anselm Moses.

She leaves behind five grandchildren: Jayden Charles, Nevaeh Charles, Jerlina Lewis, Kadeem Moses, and Kahira Moses.

Sylvestine is also survived by one brother, James Oliver John; one sister, Marilyn Greenaway Valerie

Brother-in-law: Ferdinand Valerie.

Adopted brother: Verieux Mourillon.

Nieces and nephews include: David John, Davidson John, Agnes John, Bernadette John Peter, Ruth John, Alix John, Daniella John, Vasantie Wyllie & Dwight Wyllie (Nephew-in-law), Venetta Valerie, Chermaine Narcisse & Francis Narcisse (Nephew-in-law), Fabrice Valerie & Virginie Valerie (Niece-in-law)

Cousins: Giraud & Sholastica Edouard, Justin & Leon Edwards, Paulette Peltier, Blanch Rodney and their families, Anthony,Thomas, Noeliva,Norman, Vanya,Hermine,Angelo,Joseph, Ferdinand and Magdalene -Le Blanc, Oscar,Jusin, Joseph, Hyacinth, James, Louisa and Agatha Thomas -Le Blanc, Agatha James Williams, Beverly Brumant, Judith James, Jefferson Brumant, Coralie James-Disny, Caryl Brumant- Braithwaite, Heskeith Brumant, Ricky Brumant, Hetty Ismael, Roy Andrew, Wilmoth Le Blanc, Jenny Honore ,Lucy Le Blanc Stevenson and their families.

Grandnieces and grandnephews include: Sherwina, Jessier, Eyani, Beneo, Bryelle, Ralcia, Genisia, Genique, Jashelle, K’Jai, Aurelle, Dacian, Sephrow, Vernellie, Dernine, Camelia, Noam, Medhy, Lindsay, and Estheven.

She is also remembered by members of the Leblanc, Seaman, Royer, Brumant, Augustine, Honore, Bontiff, Rabess ,Edward, and Edouard families. Also the communities of Vieille Case, Thibaud, Penville and Capuchin, Clifton and Cottage.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the Portsmouth Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Viewing will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by the service at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place at the Portsmouth Public Cemetery.

Transportation to the funeral will be provided by the following buses:

  • Bus of Mr. Daniel Carbon from Capuchin
  • Bus of Mr. Jones Paul from Penville
