Twenty six Kalinago Farmers trained and benefitted from over 32 000 EC in Beekeeping Equipments

Kibekuati Inc through the Global Environmental Facility (GFF) small grants program trained 26 farmers in Apiculture and awarded these farmers with over $32 000.00 worth of bee keeping equipment’s this month. This included bee boxes, smokers, suits and other tools.

The second phase of the project will include the construction of a small scale honey processing facility for the processing of honey products in the Kalinago Territory. Farmers are very excited to begin their honey production journey and we look forward to working with them in generating much needed income.

Kibekuati inc is a non-government organization led by some indigenous professionals and has been very active in the implementation of projects within the Kalinago Territory. At the helm of this progressive NGO is Senator Anette Sanford, who hold the position as the CEO of the board of directors.
