The Ministry of Tourism and Culture and Discover Dominica Authority will award key stakeholders for their contribution to the development of Dominica’s tourism industry. The award ceremony will form part of activities for Tourism Awareness Month and will take place at 7 pm at the Fort Young Hotel on May 29, 2019.
Awards will be presented to stakeholders who have contributed to promoting voluntourism, participants and winners of the schools beautification competition, participants and winners of the community tourism enhancement competition awards, musicians who have been involved in the music industry for over 40 years, taxi operators who have promoted Dominica via their social media pages, and broadcast media houses. Director of Tourism and CEO of Discover Dominica Authority stated, “These awards are an integral part of activities for Tourism Awareness Month where we recognize stakeholders who have made a significant contribution to the promotion of Dominica and increasing visitor arrivals. We feel that it is important to recognize such individuals and we intend for these awards to be a staple of annual celebrations for Tourism Awareness Month.”
