The 2020 Mas Domnik Calendar of events will feature a vast array of events to include calypso tents, calypso monarch competitions, village carnivals, princess shows, traditional “ole” mas festivals, pageants, street jump-ups and private fetes and parties.  This year’s Carnival celebrations will see the return of International Artiste Night the weekend before Carnival as well as Kiddies Carnival on the Sunday immediately before the street jump up days.

A much-anticipated part of the Carnival celebrations is the National Queen Pageant which is scheduled for February 20, 2020.  Seven young ladies will vie for the title of Miss Dominica 2020.  They are Kimra Charles and Kadisha Joseph of Fond Cole, Primrose Angel David of Massacre, Melanie Charles of Goodwill, Elnarrah Emmanuel of Kingshill, Shannon Connor St. Hilaire of Soufriere, and Savahnn James of Roseau.
