The Dominica Red Cross has received an ambulance donated by the Italian Red Cross to aid in the delivery of health services through-out the island.

The President, Mr Reginald Winston expressed his deep appreciation to the Italian Red Cross for their continued support to the Dominica Red Cross and stated “This ambulance will greatly enhance the services of our National Society. It is hoped that with this new ambulance, the National Society will be able to meet the needs of our residents in a more timely and efficient manner”.

The Red Cross now has two fully loaded ambulances for response and as a partner in the National Emergency System, this will enhance the capacity of not only the Dominica Red Cross but the National Health Services.
