Improving livelihoods through diversified high-value vegetables crop production in selected agroclimatic zones
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Blue and Green Economy through the assistance of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) will be hosting an inception workshop and initial Assessment as part of the project, “Improving Livelihoods through diversified high-value vegetable crop production in selected agroclimatic zones”
This project intends to establish pilots with beneficiaries in areas where suitable agroclimatic conditions to grow certain high value vegetable crops under greenhouses and open field are available. During the inception workshop and field exercises, the consultancy team and frontline extension officers of Division of Agriculture will visit areas with potential for implementation.
Forty (40) participants including extension officers, farmers, input suppliers, buyers and other stakeholders have been targeted for this training and factfinding.
The Inception workshop/opening ceremony will be on Monday June 17 2024 at 9.00am at the Prevos Cinemall, Roseau.
