Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre extends warm Thanksgiving wishes to Saint Lucians at home and in the diaspora, residents, visitors and members of the diplomatic corps. He invites everyone to give thanks for the gift of life and to appreciate the love, care and support of those around them.
The Prime Minister acknowledges that many families are facing difficult circumstances. Even in these moments, he encourages everyone to recognise the good in their lives and find reasons for hope. He urges Saint Lucians to see the glass as half full rather than half empty, giving thanks for what they have and facing the future with faith and determination. He also invites citizens to reflect with gratitude on how far Saint Lucia has come, even amid uncertainty and instability around the world.
On this day, the Prime Minister asks that special consideration be given to the sick and shut-in, those facing hardship, those grieving loved ones and those who are alone. He encourages citizens to express their gratitude through kindness, generosity and care for others. Everyone has something to offer, whether through their time, their resources or a word of encouragement.
