Roseau, Dominica – October 30, 2026 – Dominica Electricity Services Limited (DOMLEC) advises its customers, and the general public, that the implementation of the revised electricity tariffs and associated rate structures, previously scheduled to take effect on November 1, 2026, has been suspended until further notice.
The suspension follows written notification from the Independent Regulatory Commission (IRC), directing DOMLEC to postpone said implementation.
Customers will therefore have more time to understand and prepare for the changes when the new date is announced.
The existing electricity tariffs and rate structures will remain in effect until further notice.
The company will provide further information to customers when additional guidance is received from the IRC.
DOMLEC recognises the importance of keeping customers informed about changes that affect their electricity bills and encourages customers to follow its official communication channels as well as local media for verified updates regarding the revised tariffs and their eventual implementation.
