Senior Women’s player, Romelcia Phillip is confident the Dominica Senior Women’s National Team can come off with a victory when they face Turks and Caicos at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium.
“I’m definitely expecting us to bring at least a win at home versus Turks & Caicos,” she said.
The star forward did not feature for the Dominica team against Guyana and Trinidad & Tobago in the team’s first round matches due to a positive COVID-19 test.
She says however, “It is great to be back.”
Both teams (Dominica and Turks & Caicos) are gunning for a victory in group F of the CONCACAF W Qualifiers. Both teams suffered defeats in their opening fixtures in February. The Dominica Women were hammered 4-0 by the Guyana Women and then suffered a 2-0 defeat to Trinidad and
Tobago.
Dominica currently occupies fourth in group F with zero (0) points after their two games played—a goal difference of -6.
