Returning Dominican and Local DJ Starts Company To Fill Void In Real Estate

Salisbury native Daisy Grant and her cousin Midian ‘Dj Midian’ Pacquette has started their own real estate company.

Grant who grew up in New Jersey came to Dominica in 2019 to attend ‘Creole Fest’, fell in love with Dominica and decided to move.

She says, “I have been doing real estate in the states for over 15 years. I moved back to Dominica and was working with an agency on island but I didn’t like the work ethic. I didn’t like the fact that whether or not you get a listing, you would have to give half of your commission to the company. Further, I wasn’t experiencing the passion,  drive and aggression that I’m used to”.

Grant believes that there is definitely sufficient market in Dominica for another real estate company. She says that there is definitely a lot of property to be sold and the present agencies are not aggressive .

Grant and Pacqutte chose to name their company Green Reef Realty. She explained that the green represents the green verdure of Dominica and the reef relates to island life.
