Castries, Saint Lucia – Official Independence 45 activities continue domestically and in the Diaspora community in North America.
Under the auspices of the Consulate General of Saint Lucia in Toronto, the Saint Lucia-Toronto Association will host an Independence Gala in Toronto on March 9, 2024. Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre has accepted an invitation from the Saint Lucia-Toronto Association to attend the Independence Gala on Saturday. Prime Minister Pierre will be the Guest of Honour at the gala.
While in Toronto, Ontario, the Prime Minister will engage with officials of the Consulate General of Saint Lucia in Toronto, review the work of the Mission and hold exchanges with officials of the Saint Lucia-Toronto Association and the members of the Saint Lucian community in Toronto.
Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Dr Ernest Hilaire, will act as Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Economic Development and Youth Economy and Minister for Justice and National Security from the evening of March 8, 2024, to the afternoon of March 10, 2024.
