Prime Minister Skerrit has taken a union on island to task over allegations that the union met with a political party during the course of the election campaign.
He said “I find it totally unacceptable that a union in an election campaign, while salary negotiations is going on is meeting with a political party. This is bad, it is wrong, it sets a dangerous precedence … so people have to examine themselves by their actions…ask themselves, am I where I am because of my behaviour. Let us treat each other respectfully…”
The Prime Minister also said that it is his intention to improve relations with the Parliamentary Opposition.
