The opening ceremony to signal the official start of Carnival 2019, will take place on Saturday 19th January 2019. This ceremony will be in the form of a street parade in the city of Roseau. The event will showcase costume bands, sensays, pageantry and much more.
The designated route for opening parade is as follows:

‘From the assemblage point on the Dame Eugenia Charles Boulevard, the parade will proceed south along the Dame Eugenia Charles Boulevard, east along King George V Street, north along Great George Street, east along River Bank, south along independence Street, east along Kennedy Avenue to culminate at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium.’
