On Friday 18th December it was reported to the Salisbury Police Station that five (5) transformers were stolen from the electrical station which electrifies the Christmas lights installed on the Salisbury Beachfront. It saddens the company, just days away from announcing the winner of the Tranquility Beach Photo Challenge, to have to address this unfortunate situation.
We have appreciated the overwhelming positive sentiments from the families and the general public on island and overseas, regarding the community impact and the Christmas Spirit created by the thousands of lights that wrap the grounds and trees of the beachfront.
For those who have not yet experienced this Christmas joy and for those who continue to visit, we are pleased to announce that we have replaced the transformers and the Grinch of Christmas will not spoil the festive spirit for families. The Christmas lights will shine bright tonight and families are once again welcome to gather around the coloured lights as the angel above showers Christmas love on all.
