Marisa Gabriel has expressed that her father Louis Gabriel was a kind and hardworking man. 

Mr. Louis Gabriel, who was the Managing Director of Josephine Gabriel passed away on May 14th 2022. He was 85 Years old. 

Louis Gabriel was born in 1936 in Roseau, Dominica (corner of Great George Street/King George V Street). He attended both primary and secondary school in Dominica and joined the company right after.  

With his mother by his side, he learnt the business from ground up and eventually became Managing Director.  

“Louis Gabriel was a kind, generous, honest and hardworking man.  He was a devout catholic and devoted to his family, his employee’s, and to the less fortunate. He took pleasure in the simple things and wanted no recognition for his good deeds, as he often said “do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing”,” she said during an interview with EMO News. 

She stated that her father was a humble and selfless man.  

Ms. Gabriel said how he has helped students with fundraising activities and small business and would offer financial assistance to families that were unable to send their children to school. 

” He was dedicated to the development of sports, especially for the youth as he believed it assisted them academically, instilling discipline and it brought communities together. “

The biggest lesson she learnt from her father is to be kind to others, help others, and your blessing will be endless.
