Koudmen Association, a small NGO group based in Martinique will be in Dominica on Friday March 1, 2019, to hand over a Modular Unit to the Ministry of Health and Social Services at the Wesley Health Centre.
After the passage of Hurricane Maria in September 2017, the Koudmen Association worked in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Services and the Government of Dominica in order to provide the Wesley Health Centre with a modular unit. The modular unit project was conducted within the framework of sustainable aid. Its aim was to help meet the need for additional space for patient consultations at the Wesley Health Centre.
After tropical storm Erika in 2015, with the concerted effort of hundreds of Martinicans and
Dominicans, the association donated over 15 tons of relief supplies by boat to the
Government and people of Dominica.
The handing over ceremony will take place on Friday March 1, 2019, from 10: 00 am, at the Wesley Health Centre. The ceremony will be attended by members of the Koudmen Association, officials from the Ministry of Health and Social Services, health personnel from the Marigot Health District, and members of the community
