Kimorah John of Paix Bouche Is Grambling State University Fall Valedictorian

Kimorah John who hails from the village of Paix Bouche has emerged the Fall Valedictorian of Grambling State University.

John who graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology says that she plans to complete a Master’s degree in Cognitive Psychology with the hopes of finding cures and improving treatment of Cognitive disorders.

According to John there were many challenges that she faced while studying at GSU.

“My curriculum was rigorous. Each professor had different expectations for their class. My time management skills was often tested. I also had to adapt to each course requirement which could at times be overwhelming.”

However, she was able to adapt well and achieve great success.

“I had to get out of my comfort zone. I challenged myself to apply to leadership conferences, summits, and competitions. I had to be okay with the outcome of those applications. Whether I got accepted or not, whether I won or not,  I had to be satisfied with the fact that I gave it a shot.”

Kimorah thanks her family for their unwavering support, teachers and advisers at GSU and the Government of Dominica who gave her a full scholarship.

Congratulations to Kimorah John.
