Kadisha Joseph representing Fond Cole was officially launched on Sunday. Joseph is a 2020 graduate of the Goodwill Secondary School where she captured awards for student leadership and athletic ability. Joseph boasts of having represented Dominica in multiple sporting disciplines.
Joseph said that her involvement in Sports has contributed to her well rounded nature and can do the same for any young Dominican who is granted the same opportunity. This is the reason for her platform which is ‘Empowering youth through the development of sports’. She said, “I aim to build lasting relationships with Government agencies, private sector businesses, social advocates and community leaders to build on the existing framework we have for the development of Sports among youth”.
Joseph said that sports play a pivotal role in maintaining physical, mental and emotional health in individuals. Further, sports also play a role in regional integration and development.
Joseph said that she is the best choice and the contender of choice in this year’s Miss Dominica 2020 Carnival Queen Pageant.
