Jungle Bay Reopens

The luxurious Jungle Bay Resort and Spa has reopened at Morne Acouma in Soufriere. The decision was taken to relocate the resort after it was severely damaged by the natural disasters which affected the island.

Many people are happy that the resort is finally opened as it provides jobs both directly and indirectly to many locals. Presently, there are 60 permanent staff members employed at the resort as well as about 100 construction workers. When the final phase is complete, the hotel is expected to employ about 160 workers.

The resort is expected to be completed sometime next year and will boast of 85 rooms, two restaurants, swimming pools, fourteen studio spas and two yoga studios among other amenities. The first 30 rooms were opened while the remaining rooms are still under completion.
