JCI Dominica is proud to announce a week of celebrations from December 8th to 14th, 2024, marking 65 years of transforming the lives of young people and building impactful leaders for a changing world. This milestone anniversary will feature a series of engaging activities aimed at celebrating our history, empowering our members, and looking toward the future. The organization will also host the official visit of National President Meritta Hyacinth.
President Hyacinth holds the distinction of being the first Dominican to serve as JCI West Indies
National President, and she continues to make history as an incoming Commissioner on the
International Board’s American Development Council, with responsibility for retention and growth
in the Americas. Her inspiring journey exemplifies the values of leadership, service, and innovation
that JCI fosters globally.
The schedule of events is as follows:
Tuesday, December 10th:
JCI Dominica will host a Training Session led by JCI West Indies National President, Meritta Hyacinth. This session will delve into the critical themes of project management and execution, equipping participants with advanced strategies for effective leadership and impactful implementation.
Thursday, December 12th:
On our Anniversary Day, we invite past and present members to an Open Discussion at the UWI Open Campus at 6:00 PM. This event will celebrate JCI Dominica’s rich history and provide a platform for collective reflection and future planning as we continue to inspire innovative impact and action.
Friday, December 13th:
We celebrate JCI Memories Day, inviting people across Dominica, the region, and internationally to share their fond memories of JCI Dominica. Participants are encouraged to post on social media and tag our pages, uniting our global network in celebration of our shared legacy.
Saturday, December 14th:
The week will culminate with the prestigious Installation and Awards Ceremony, where we will celebrate the achievements of our members and partners, recognize their hard work and support, and officially install the 2025 President and Board of Directors. This grand finale will reflect on the year’s accomplishments while looking ahead to new beginnings.
