The Honourable Prime Minister of Dominica, Roosevelt Skerrit responded to the concerns of the Dominican public as to how the CBI funds have been managed over the years he has been in office.
Mr. Skerrit clarified that the funds have been used to invest in the infrastructure to facilitate commerce and investments. The funds are currently being divided into several sectors of the economy to include the building of hotels, agriculture, manufacturing industry, bridges, roads, international airport and education. He went on to further state that the CBI funds are used for “Investing in the human capital and investing in our young people so that they can use those skills and knowledge to build a sustainable economy.”
The Prime Minister stated that if debt is reduced there will be more money to invest in the country.
