The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development in collaboration with All Hands and Hearts officially handed over the new Morne Prosper Primary School on Thursday, January 10th, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
Two new buildings were constructed by All Hands and Hearts to accommodate the students of Morne Prosper following the passage of Hurricane Maria. In addition, the organization recently completed and handed over the Paix bouche Primary school and Preschool in August of 2018.
Parliamentary Representative, Hon. Collin McIntyre and Minister for Education Hon. Petter Saint-Jean and representatives of the organization addressed the ceremony. Also in attendance were the donor agencies namely Flow Dominica, Latter Day Saints, and Norwegian Cruiseline Holding. The ceremony also featured performances from the students of the school.
All Hands and Hearts’ response to Hurricane Maria started in Dominica in early 2018 with over eighty volunteers from all over the world.
