The Dominica Public Service Union is pleased that the series of protest action undertaken has succeeded in beginning salary negotiations with Government.
DPSU president, Steve Joseph has said that the intention of the protest action was to get Government to the negotiating table and that has happened hence there is no need to shut down the country through protest action.
He says however that the union will stop at nothing to secure an increase in salaries and better working conditions for its members.
