“We will have to decide where we go beyond that,” says Linton

The United Workers Party on Friday 6 September organized a meeting to continue to discuss the issue of the alleged 1.2 billion dollars unaccounted for.

At the meeting, leader of the opposition, Hon. Lennox Linton said the Prime Minister has until September 20 report on the “missing money”. Since the budget response in August, given by the leader of the Opposition, there has been debate and discussion from the media houses to the street corner concerning the unaccounted for monies.

Linton says that all the people are asking for is “how much money was in the account at the start of the year, how much money came in during the year, how much money was spent and how much money remains at the end of the year”.

Linton says that the Prime Minister has been “Finance Minister for 15 years… sat on the Monetary Council of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union for 15 years and you want to tell me that he cannot give us a single one-page report about our passport money that was picked up”.

Linton said that the money does not belong to Mr. Skerrit but to the people of Dominica and they deserve answers.
