Daryl ‘De Bobb’ Bobb is the first ever virtual Calypso Monarch in Dominica. De Bobb won the crown with his song ‘Go and Love Your Neighbor’.
De Bobb says, “It is an honor being the first ever virtual Calypso King. I intend to use the virtual platform to continue to transform entertainment in Dominica as it is the most lucrative avenue for the music industry today. I’m happy to be a leader in this juncture in the entertainment industry in my country and the rest of the world”.
Bobb who has won the Calypso Monarchy before explains what he thinks gave him the edge over the other competitors. “My undisputed diction (the clarity of my singing) and my stage antiques together with the quality of my lyrics and melody and the energy in my music that I always ride on”.
Bobb thanks his very small team of 2 persons and 2 behind the scenes.
Tasha ‘Tasha P’ Peltier, Charles ‘Sour Sour’ Isaac and Nichole ‘Abiyah’ Alfred came in 2,3 and 4 respectively.
