The Inter American Institute for Cooperation (IICA) with the support of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) continues to host a series of webinars on the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule.
The webinars are hosted at the Conference room of the Division of Agriculture, Botanic Gardens. Topics covered include Standards for Growing, Harvesting, Packing and Holding of Produce for Human Consumption and Foreign Supplier Verification Programme.
According to Kent Copiel, Technical Speaking in the IICA Dominica, “The objective of this initiative is to sensitize government and private sector officials in the Americas about the enactment of the produce safety regulations and its requirements”.
The webinars are attended by stakeholders and it is expected that information will be passed on to the general public in the near future.
