Runners at the start of the marathon
Adventures completed the 5th marathon of its Eastern Caribbean Challenge here in Dominica, on March 12, 2019. 40 experienced runners from 14 different counties, including Germany, USA, Denmark, Trinidad, Pakistan and Taiwan disembarked from the MV Costa Magica docked at the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth. This was the first time running in Dominica for each of the runners.
The Eastern Caribbean Challenge is a 7-day challenge with 7 marathons on 6 Caribbean islands and one aboard the cruise ship.
In an interview with Dominica News Online, Beth Sanden, Wheelchair Marathon winner, complimented Dominica on the safety precautions during the marathon, “Dominica has really played a key role in keeping us safe through the marathon and what a beautiful experience on this island. Thank You”.
