In our quest to raise the bar and set an unprecedented standard in the political discourse in our communities and Dominica on a whole, I am pleased to inform the nation that my campaign unit has just started the distribution of our campaign brochure in the Salybia constituency which includes the Kalinago Territory, Atkinson, and Antrizzle. Indeed, a first for us in Dominica where a political candidate is presenting to the public for scrutiny viable, practical and needed initiatives to improve the quality of life of our people which has largely been stifled for the last 20 years under the DLP administration.

The brochure was not developed by one person, nor based on fly-by-night phantom dreams but rather it’s based on well thought out interventions if properly executed will play a significant role in the eradication of the dependency syndrome which the Dominica Labour Party has been deliberately cultivating in the constituency while the challenges of unemployment, poverty, inadequate housing, and emigration continue to fester and take a heavy toll on our communities. Indeed, some of these ideas have been highly recommended for years but have never been implemented at a time when we have a full-fledged Ministry of Kalinago Affairs.

The campaign brochure provides a bird’s eye view of my intent to tackle head-on these socioeconomic challenges confronting the constituency which has only been addressed cosmetically while the real challenges continue to fester unattended.

I encourage everyone in the constituency to get a copy and be informed and attend the campaign events organized by my team where details of these great and needed initiatives will be given. Much of the contents of this campaign brochure will be discussed in detail at our upcoming economic development forum for the constituency in Atkinson later this month.

The professionally presented and informative brochure highlights initiatives in health, Agriculture, human resource development, tourism, culture and several other areas which will see a 360° turn from what currently exists in the constituency and inspire hope among our people.

This campaign brochure was conceptualized, developed and produced by our very own people in the constituency and funded by our constituents who live in the diaspora but are equally passionate to see the dawn of a new day in our homeland.
