Larry Thomas represented Dominica at the 2025 Subzone 2.3.3 Absolute Chess Championship held in Trinidad from April 12th to 17th, 2025. He started with a rank of 61 among 96 players and has finished ranked number 38 with a score of 5/9.
This result has earned him the prestigious title of Candidate Master (CM). He becomes the second player from Dominica to earn the title. His performance will also grant him more Elo rating which will see his ranking improve to number 3 among active rated Dominican players representing the Dominica Chess Federation.
