Over 100 athletes and officials departed state this morning as Dominica gets set to participate for the first time in the ALBA Games in Venezuela.
11 countries will be participating at the games which will bring over 3000 athletes together over the next 2 weeks.
The countries are Cuba, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Russia and the host country Venezuela.
The games will feature a total of 35 sports disciplines.
Dominica will be represented in 11 sporting disciplines.
