Dominica Table Tennis Association to host its first Grand Prix Tournament

The Dominica Table Tennis Association is all set to host the 1st Grand Prix Tournament for the Association elected in December 2021.

The Association intends to raise awareness and the potential of the sport to a number of communities and this first activity will engage all members of the Association in a day of sport and showmanship.

The event is carded for Saturday May 28, 2022, at the Public Service Union Building in Roseau, from 10am, and will showcase male and female competitors in the sport. President of the Dominica Table Tennis Association, Mr. Peter Letang, sounds the call for members to get involved to grow the sport here in Dominica. He indicated that as a start, this event will bring together members from the communities of Marigot, Kalinago Territory, Portsmouth, La Plaine and Roseau. It is the intention for the Association to have an outreach within the communities coming from this first of many activities, as a way of encouraging and ensuring the sustainability of the sport, he continued.

The Dominica Table Tennis Association wishes to thank all the sponsors of this event. Mr. Letang exclaimed that without the support given, the event would not have been possible.
