The Commonwealth of Dominica has recorded its first Covid-19 related death according to Health minister  Hon. Dr. Irving McIntyre. 

He said, “The 46 year old female with preexisting medical conditions was admitted to the COVID Isolation unit on August 14 and passed away today August 17, 2021”.He continued, “The Government of Dominica extends its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the deceased. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time”.
