According to the Minister of Health, Hon.Irving McIntyre, a 42 year old male, Yoet Michel Ramos  of the Cuban COVID-19 medical brigade  collapsed suddenly on May 5 and subsequently died.

He traeveled to Dominica 2 months ago to join the Dominican public in the fight against COVID-19.

The doctor in question spent 14 days in quarantine before his initial assignment at the COVID Isolation Unit at the Hospital.

He had just completed another 14 days of quarantine to be assigned at the Accident and Emergency Unit, when he suddenly collapsed.

Dominica extends sincere condolences to the other members of the Cuban Brigade and the nation of Cuba by extension.
