The Entrepreneurship and Innovation HUB partnership is reporting that it has successfully concluded the first step in the programme for young entrepreneurs in Dominica and that the event was a resounding success. During the week of October 4 – 9, 31 young entrepreneurs successfully completed a one-week intensive program at the Jungle Bay Eco-Resort.

This initiative was curated to provide young entrepreneurs across Dominica with relevant business skills and tools so that going forward they would be in a better position to build more resilient and innovative business models. During the program the youth Entrepreneurs were engaged by a diverse group of local and international presenters and business mentors. This proved to be a unique and exciting opportunity for the Entrepreneurs to connect with cutting edge, relevant and inspiring entrepreneurial experiences.

After five days of an intensive training schedule and various hours of group collaborations, the teams pitched their innovative business ideas before a panel of local and international judges. Team Inno Expressions, who presented on natural exotic teas, extracts, powders and oils emerged victorious. In second and third place were Circular Vision and E.Novate, respectively. Team 5Thrive received honorable mention notable due to their pitch.
