DGS Class of 1995 Gives Back with Inaugural Contribution

A group of past students from the Dominica Grammar School (DGS) Class of 1995 has taken a meaningful step in giving back to their alma mater with an inaugural contribution of EC$1,000. The donation was made to help offset costs incurred during the school’s celebration of International Boys Day on May 16, 2025, held under the theme “Build Self-Esteem in Boys: Stand Up, Be Heard, Be Seen!”

This contribution marks the beginning of a broader initiative by the alumni group, who have remained connected for three decades. The group is currently in the process of formally establishing a non-profit alumni organization. Their mission is to support the school community through donations of equipment and materials, financial assistance, and professional mentorship—honoring their shared legacy while helping to shape a brighter future for current and future students.

Comprising over 100 members located across North America, Europe, the Caribbean, and Dominica, the DGS 1995 alumni are already preparing for further engagement. The group looks forward to supporting this year’s graduation ceremony with various awards and prizes, and is eagerly anticipating their signature reunion event scheduled for November 2–6, 2026.
