Monday 16, November saw the return of residents of Delices to the polls to elect a village council. This is the second time in about two months a council elections was held since the chairmanship of the council remained tied.
Five young persons were elected to the council in the persons of Ken Joseph(194 votes), Nikengi Baron(189), Joye Augustine(185), Glorin Simon(175) and Jovin Lawrence(166).
Joye Augustine who topped the elections the last time says, “It is good to see young people volunteer to serve in their community and also to see persons give them the opportunity to do so. We are thankful to the community of Delices who came out and chose their council to lead in the development of the village”.
The Minister of Community Development has the responsibility to choose three other persons to complete the eight member team to form the village council.
